Basement drop ceiling

The drop ceiling needed to be planned out to ensure minimal waste of building materials. The duct work needed to be enclosed using 2 x 4's and drywall, along with an access panel for the plumbing drain. Firstly, the framing for the duct work and plumbing was done before the drywall added, taped and mudded.

The drop ceiling framework was then installed, followed by the main ceiling tiles to see which ones needed to be cut for lighting and heating ducts.

The pot lighting was already installed, but did need to be adjusted for depth and location so that they would be centered in the ceiling tiles. Heating ducts were also adjusted for depth. The ceiling tiles were cut and put in place for the lighting and the heating ducts.

Once the tiles were in place, the covers for the pot lights and heating ducts were added. Then the remainder of the small tiles were cut and installed.

Two windows were cased, trimmed and caulked, as well as baseboards installed.

Wally did a great job finishing our basement which involved installing drywall, trim, and a drop ceiling. He also cut and installed tile baseboard in our hallway. He took the time to explain how he wanted to complete the project to make sure we were on board with everything. His work was top quality and we are very pleased with the final result. Wally is very organized, conscientious, thorough, and reliable and we have no problem recommending him.
